partially offset by kevin's valid point of 'take profits when you have them'. still not comfortable with consolidation periods, which i suppose gets back to confidence in the trade. You guys short inverse ETF's, which is where the margin is. but if you are the slightest bit unsure about the trade, you could be slinging french fries at mcdonalds.!
Just want to point out how freaky this day is. right now, both TVIX and XIV are down at the same time a decent amount, and JNUG and DUST are both up at the same time a decent amount. Or am i smoking something....????

These are tough times PT. But I'm not freaking yet. It could get scary but I'm convinced this will not get catastrophic. Just have to stay away from margin and be careful to have enough reserves if shorting.
Maybe having 2 seemingly contradictory trades that you believe will both be up in the near term and or not too distant future, might be a good way to mitigate fear.
