Four, I am trying to understand your point on the spy relative to the close of the vix. are you arguing that the spy is maxxing out right now and we may see a consistent dip?

"entry strategy"
---------------------------------
Folks may not like my subjective answer...

I trade small and with dividends:
= Enter with a limit order a few cents under the price when I am in front of the filter and I am in the trading account.

= If I enter an order that night= I just enter a stop-limit order at high + .01.

Try for ~$50+ gain

I trade small and no dividends:
See above and I "scalp". I don't want to keep a stock without a dividend. So by "scalping" it is "like" collecting a dividend. Scalp means taking less than $30 ~usually.

--------- Finally,
-- I sometimes break the above "policies".
-- A large regularly paying dividend stock may even find me averaging in on the up -OR- down side.
-- Folks who read through my posts over the years will recognize my reluctance to take a loss. Thus I have graduated to taking small positions that don't hurt. And with a dividend I gain the ability to "average" down on the cost of the purchase.
-- Rarely short and only if there is no dividend. Even though some filters include a short trigger.
-- I try to keep learning and understanding. Thank you everyone!
-- Hopefully a filter or two will help someone else. I try to give back.
-- I "back-test" visually by clicking through StockFetcher.

hope this helps
